Art as a Form of Meditation with Klari Gaspar
ABOUT THE WORKSHOP
Making art can be a particularly useful tool to meditate. We will combine visualisations and meditation with creating artworks. When words are not enough to describe feelings and release tension, a piece of paper and a pen can save us…

THEME OF THE MONTH
Our theme for October is Mental Health Awareness, giving a time for all of us to acknowledge the struggles ourselves and others are facing when it comes to mental health whilst offering solutions to tackle them. Throughout the month, our workshops will follow this theme by helping you to explore intuitive methods for overcoming personal challenges and discover interesting new ways to express your emotions through creativity.
* 5th October, 6-7PM BST – Integrative art therapy for the peaceful mind
In this workshop, we will experience how to create peace and stability in yourself when you only have a quiet room, a piece of paper and a pen. The world is full of uncertainty and change, we are forced to continually adapt and keep up with the pace. At the end of the day, the only power we have is our own mind and techniques to make it a little quieter. Making art is a simple yet incredibly effective way to find the connection with the healthy and strong parts of our personality. In this 60-minute workshop we will combine visualisations with art-making in a warm, holding atmosphere where sharing feels safe. No previous experience in art or meditation is needed.
* 2nd November, 6-7PM GMT – TBC
