There are a number of activities that can help you wind down after a long day of work and prepare you for relaxation and a good night’s sleep, even if you’re staying in the same space.
- Try to get organised: remove clutter, do a quick 5-minute clean-up, write a to-do list for the next day
- Prepare your space: put your phone on do not disturb, dim the lights, put on some of your favourite music, light a candle or burn an incense, consider adding some plants to your bedroom
- Prepare yourself: if you struggle to switch off, get some light exercise, stretching or meditation in, maybe do something creative like journaling or writing, take a bath or pick up a good book, grab a cup of tea and write a gratitude list to end your day in a good mindset
